Programs run from 10 15 to 10 30 a m CWT with some stations making later transcriptions. J A Westenius, 83, veteran Polk County newspaperman, died at his Stromsburg home after a week of illness. Wheat crop insurance to be explained to Polk County farmers
About 40 community committeemen will call on farmers next week to measure planted acreages and discuss the new three year wheat crop insurance plan. The policy may be cancelled in year three with written permission before end of year two. In Polk County last year 1800 farmers signed applications protecting 35840 acres of wheat.
