The Greens Chapel notes report the fourth annual picnic set for June 10 at Buckley Park at 1 p.m. Various local families including Obrists Kinbergs and Burkes host and visit in Lincoln and Central City. Memorial Day gatherings and numerous family dinners, birthdays, and social visits across numerous households are listed.
Linda Johnson and Linda Colson visited the Pete Stromberg home at Columbus last week. Mrs Keith Colson and Mrs Morris Johnson joined the Strombergs to bring the girls home. Loris Neal hosted dinner for Max Lott family and Kenneth Anderson family at Central City. Wallace Peterson and Jerry Holm families shared a noon visit. Guy Hanshew called on Haverland. Donelson family reunion held at Swede Plain church.
Mr and Mrs Duane Jones Beth and Mark spent Thursday afternoon in Lincoln. They visited Sunday evening with Mr and Mrs Marlowe Johnson. Irvin Gestrine and J E Gestrine attended Memorial Day dinner at the Harold W Johnson home. Mr and Mrs Victor Krol entertained Sunday dinner guests Petrus Nelson Ruel Sward and family. Miss Lillie Chindgren and Martin and Sander Chindgren joined them.
Local families welcomed guests from Bremerton York and Fremont during dinners and gatherings. Attendees included the Carlsons Haberman family joining Walter Larson, the Johnsons and Gestrines visiting relatives, and Evelyn Oquist at a wedding in Central City. Memorial Day picnics featured numerous relatives from Lincoln Storm Lake and Osceola with extended visits from the Buhl Almen and Graham families.
Mrs Milo Cochrane of Omaha visited from Sunday to Wednesday with Mr and Mrs Tillman Joy. On Monday May 29 Mr and Mrs Bruce Pickett stayed overnight at Clarence Shields home in Kearney. Tuesday they joined a dinner at Dee Browns in Lexington honoring the 1911 Overton graduation class. Mr Pickett was one of five attendees.
