Shrine Bowl Football Game Draws Nebraska Stars
Outstanding high school players from across Nebraska join the Shrine Bowl training camps at Doane College Crete August 7 for the South and August 19 for the North. Proceeds support Shriners Hospitals for Crippled Children in Minneapolis. The South and North rosters include Kent McCloughan, Larry Salinger, Gale Sayers, Bobby Williams, and Darrell Kracl among 66 top performers. The event features a two-game series with proceeds totaling 104790.46 to date.

Mrs. Lee Campbell returned home from Marshall Minnesota after attending her granddaughter Sheryl Rae Otten’s graduation week. Sheryl was among eighty Marshall High graduates and earned top scholastic honors with a ninety plus three year average and a silver medal at Honors Convocation for work in band chorus small groups and dramatics. Sheryl plans to enter Hamline University in St Paul this fall while serving as Honored Queen of Job’s Daughters Bethel No 22.
