Two Hospitalized After 4th of July Incidents
Sheldon Bond and Clair Emmons are patients at Osceola Community Hospital. Emmons suffered severe burns on his right arm and shoulder when burning trash in the yard and gasoline exploded. Three Arrested In Shelby Tuesday
Three men were arrested in Shelby Tuesday afternoon and held overnight at the Columbus jail to await a Wednesday morning trial at the Osceola County Courthouse. Michiel O'Brien faced petit larceny charges for taking a portable radio from McMeekin Implement Co and was convicted after prosecution witnesses testified. he was fined 25 dollars plus costs. Edward J. Mattson pleaded guilty to driving with fictitious license plates and operating without a license, and was fined 20.31 dollars in costs. case heard by County Judge L M Merrick with Phil Campbell prosecuting in the absence of Phil Nyberg.

The Star oscik family parents Mr and Mrs John Kinder learn their daughter A W Kinder and children arrived at Formosa on June 29 after 15 days travel.
