Osceola Barber Albert Ryan Remains Busy at 84
The Osceola barber Albert Ryan, age 84, remains active shoveling snow outside his shop. He moved to Osceola in 1898 and has worked as a barber there for sixty two years, tracing his career through shops now known as Rexall Drug Store L and M Cafe Ahrens Jewelry and the Ryan building. He plans to write a history of Osceola and hopes to publish it in his column.

Louis Kumpf 67 of Shelby died Wednesday January 20 after a lingering illness. He is survived by his wife two sons and a daughter. Funeral services were held Saturday January 23 at the E U B Church Shelby with Rev Karl F Zieman presiding. Burial was in Shelby Cemetery.
