E and H savings bond sales in Polk County totaled $58,938 in the past year, led by E. C. Nordlund who noted 107 percent of the 1959 quota. Nebraska topped states with $99,208,310 and 106.1 percent of its 1959 goal. December purchases statewide reached $9,213,745, up 17 percent from 1958, the best December since 1947.
