Nebraska Osceola school reports lack of tardies and absences among top students, a new scholarship letter for 90 percent averages emphasizing citizenship, and visits by district superintendents. Recaps grade games at Genoa Indian School, student responses on history value, and lists honor students across 6th to 8th grades.
Registrar statistics show women average 20.9 years while men average 21.4. There are about 1,200 more male students. ages span over 45 years with 1,077 in the nineteen bracket. Four of the six youngest students are women.
Stromsburg High School basketball edged Silver Creek 24 to 17 in a fast, well attended game, tying Stromsburg with Fullerton for Little Ten Wish School league honors as both squads remained undefeated in conference play. Coach Whellough’s seconds beat Silver Creek 25 to 4, while other local notes cover obituaries, illnesses, and community events.
Polk residents attend church events visit relatives and travel to nearby cities. Quarantines for diphtheria at the McCoy family. multiple members work in banks and offices. The administrator has filed a final account and report for the estate of Joseph Swanson deceased. A petition for final settlement, order of distribution, determination of heirship, and discharge is set for hearing February 8 1930 at 10 AM before the court.
