Ulysses Joins Goldenrod Conference at Shelby Meeting
At Shelby on January 5 the Goldenrod Conference expanded with Ulysses as a new member. The change does not affect this year's basketball title but Ulysses will enter spring sports and the grade basketball tournament. Silver Creek was awarded the 1938 football championship. The grade basketball tournament will be at Stromsburg late January with first round matchups Silver Creek vs Clarks Shelby vs Ulysses Osceola vs Stromsburg Polk-Bye. A single round robin will determine next year's basketball champion to allow more non-conference games. Softball is set as this year's spring sport.
