The Osceola Lumber Company under George Craven marks its thirty second year in Osceola at the corner of State and Indiana. Craven bought the yard from Chicago Lumber Co and later merged with Greenwood Lumber Co prior to January 146. Joln Craven, active in management, served in the armed forces and returned to the business.

Polk County Public Sale Of Used Road Machinery

Polk County will sell unused road equipment at a public auction at the County Yard in Osceola starting 1:30 PM on Saturday February 28. Items include 12 blades 6 to 10 feet long plus fresnos slips large walking plows two tank wagons and other gear.
