National Society for Crippled Children and Adults offers fellowships for professional training in counseling and job placement of cerebral palsied persons. Alpha Gamma Delta funds twenty fellowships. scholarships co sponsored by National Society and Alpha Chi Omega. Deadlines March 15 and April 1 1961. Fellowships June 12 to July 7 at NYU Medical Center include $300 for tuition and living costs. Scholarship grants up to $750 vary by course length. Applications from Chicago Illinois address.

New County Extension Agent Joins Polk County Staff
Frank Wiese of Dodge Nebraska began work February 9 as a County Extension Agent in Polk County on a temporary basis. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Extension and has trained in Boone County during 1958 and in Duel County in 1959. Wiese, single, resides with Mrs. Arthur Ekstrom in Osceola.

Bert Gissler Honored as Top Life Insurance Rep

Leonard Nelson dies at 72 in Stromsburg
Leonard Nelson 72 of Stromsburg died February 8 at Annie Jeffrey Memorial Hospital. Funeral services were held Saturday at the Stromsburg Baptist Church with Rev. L. E. Peterson officiating. Burial followed in Stromsburg cemetery. He operated the Nelson Dairy near Stromsburg for years, later retiring and living in Stromsburg. Surviving are his wife Zetta a son Charles and two daughters Mary Frances Miller and Margaret Zetta Link.

Osceola graduate Steven Sigler joins Westminster Choir on nine-state tour
Steven Sigler of Osceola Nebraska, Westminster College Choir class of 1961, tours with the Westminster Touring Choir through nine states from February 11 to 28. The group, chosen from 40 of 150, is managed by Friedberg Management Inc. in New York City and will visit Detroit St Louis Central Kansas and Oklahoma City. Sigler has Carnegie Hall experience with the Symphonic Choir and serves as organist at the Church of the Nativity in Fair Haven New Jersey.
