The Osceola Bulldogs defeated Shelby 81 to 39 in the Polk County Tournament before losing 63 to 43 to Polk. Osceola led 41 to 18 at halftime, pressed early, then slowed but kept the lead as Polk closed to 63-43 final. An overtime loss followed to Polk reserves 60-54, with Kisler Ang Kroger and Schmoker starring for Polk.

Governor Frank Morrison signed a proclamation marking February as Heart Month at the Heart Fund Tea in Lincoln. The Governor and Mrs. Morrison hosted volunteers at the Governor's mansion for a two hour reception, with Lincoln and Omaha officials in attendance and a check presented to the Lincoln Lancaster Heart Council in memory of Ralph G.
