Mrs. John I. Anderson of Osceola Nebraska died at home early Saturday from a heart attack after a day of shopping and preparing for Christmas. She was 58 years old, born Martha Cecilia Olson in Sweden, came to America at twelve, married John I. Anderson in 1907, and leaves husband, son Alvin, daughter-in-law, granddaughter Donna Lee, two brothers, and many relatives. The obituary notes her religious faith and community standing.

Annual Meeting of Osceola Farmers Union Draws Large Crowd

Polk county 4 H club members again in 1938 have a chance to compete in the national club farm account project. The event is sponsored by the International Harvester Company under the national committee on boys and girls club work. A total of 805 prizes totaling $8 500 will be awarded to winning 4 H clubbers. Stolen Chevrolet Recovered Near Platte River
A Chevrolet coupe owned by Joe Schott and used by his son Raymond was stolen from the high school grounds last Wednesday evening during a basketball game. A Shelby bicycle stolen the same night was found at the theft site. The car was recovered days later in brush along the Platte River near Columbus, having traveled about 150 miles with no damage aside from missing a spare tire and some accessories.
