The Red Cross Blood Mobile will be at the Osceola high school auditorium Monday December 30 from 10 AM to 4 PM. Donors from Osceola Shelby and the northern county will be urged to meet a 150 pint quota as stockpiling for defense continues.
Last week's mystery farm near Shelby revealed the John Gabel home two miles south and a mile west. Gabels farm 34 years with six children and corn as a main crop. Winners noted: George DeLand first, Mrs Art Weiser second, Mrs Alfred Kuhnel third. this week prizes include extra free rewards from the Farmers Co op and Jack & Jill sponsors.
Osceola Hardware invites Osceola patrons to visit this Saturday December 21. The Conrads serve free coffee and doughnuts all afternoon and evening. Visitors may sign the register for a chance to win prizes to be given away at 9:00 that evening.

Osceola defeated Stromsburg 58 51 at home with Roo ger Wright scoring 22 and Bob Dinges 15. The Bulldogs beat Clarks 38 33, led by Wright with 17, and reserve 34 31 over Clarks reserves. Final game before Christmas vacation set for December 20 at Silver Creek.

The First Methodist Church began its Christmas season with the choir’s annual cantata Sunday evening December 8 under director Elmer Johnson with Mrs. F. W. Schuman at the organ. Most congregation activities are still upcoming.
