The Osceola chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution was organized Monday December 6 at a one welock luncheon at Mrs. W. F Kepner home. State officers attended from Lincoln Morrill and Stromsburg and the charter members numbered fourteen with Mrs Wes Snider organizing.

The Maple Leaf Club met Nov 18 at Mrs Walter Marys home with 12 members and 4 visitors. Mr Funk spoke on Farm Bureau work. Osceola High football banquet honors 1926 team
About 150 gathered at the Methodist church for Osceola High School’s 1926 football team banquet sponsored by the Osceola Community Club. Obituary for Leonard B Reitz of Northumberland and Nebraska
Leonard B Reitz born in Northumberland Pennsylvania died Monday December 6 1926. He married Hamina Shaffer May 20 1877 and they had seven children two died in infancy and a daughter Mrs HE Deeter died in 1917. Surviving wife one son J C Reitz Holdrege Nebraska three daughters Mrs Wol McCormick Mrs C E Daniel and Mrs George Reed Polk County thirteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren. The Reitz family moved to Nebraska in 1879 settling in Lancaster County before moving to Polk County where he lived most of his life. Services were held at Fairview Church December 8 with Rev W W Henderson of Arcadia and Rev Friday assisting.
