Nebraska counties brace for court fight over 1966 tax refunds

Nebraska and its counties move toward litigation over refunds for 1966 property taxes. Atty Gen Meyer and Tax Commissioner McNeil say the state will not default and will defend actions in court. Seventeen counties and an individual taxpayer have signaled plans to sue, with several million dollars in play across taxing districts and the state.
