Lincoln barber leader Clarence A. Green ends life near Stromsburg
Clarence A. Green 64 of Lincoln, a former three time Republican lieutenant governor candidate, died by suicide in a Stromsburg cemetery on Friday afternoon. Investigators said despair over defeat in the recent primary and financial reverses caused the act. The body was found by farmer Arthur Carlson. Green had run for state offices multiple times and once owned part of the Lincoln Western league baseball club. Funeral services were held in Stromsburg with burial there. survivors include his wife Olive, son Kenneth, his mother Mrs J G Green and brother Guy W Green.

Polk County Fair Promises Four Days of Free Acts and Rides
