Harding Memorial Service Beholds Simple, Gracious Tribute
A memorial service for Warren G. Harding was held Friday afternoon at the Auditorium. Mayor S A Snider opened the program as announced with a twelve voice mixed chorus performing pieces like The City Four Square. Rev Adolf Serenius led prayer and Rev T E Barr delivered scripture and benediction. Speeches by Rev J A Klein Attorney H C Beebe and Supt C E Andrews highlighted Harding as a man of service and approachability. The service closed with Americana and singing.

The 44th Polk County Agricultural Society fair will run September 25 to 28 at Osceola. Exhibits, prizes, and educational focus accompany expanded entertainment including races band concerts and free attractions Carlson sisters and Johnnie Riley. All county school children under 15 admitted free daily, with Friday free for all Polk County students.
