Obituary of Adam Herrmann Pioneer Blacksmith of Osceola
Adam Herrmann born June 23 1850 in Wartenberg Germany died August 3 1934 at 84 years. He immigrated to Ohio then Nebraska where he farmed near Osceola before moving to town. Survived by five sons four daughters two grandchildren six great grandchildren and one sister. Funeral at Methodist Church Osceola with Rev W H Wright and Rev John Herrmann.

Mrs Rose Grossnicklaus died at 6 30 am after a stroke at her Osceola home. Aged 62 she is survived by seven children Ervin Henry John Mrs Violet Luft Roy William Hollie all in Polk County 14 grandchildren one brother Henry Schmoker and a sister Mrs Julius Johansen Funeral services tomorrow at 2 30 pm at the home Rev W H Wright will conduct the Methodist Church service interment in Osceola Cemetery

E Lunner a 66 year old Stromsburg merchant died suddenly at home from a heart attack Friday night. Born in Sweden in 1868 he immigrated in 1887 and entered the Variety Store business in 1901 later forming a partnership with W Fred Johnson in 1903. He was a former mayor and active in civic and Masonic affairs. He is survived by a wife two sons in York and Chicago and two daughters in Lincoln and Hartford a brother in Minneapolis and a sister in Sweden.

Mrs. Clarence Johnson and her baby Alice Lorraine are released from Osceola Hospital and will return home west of Osceola. Mrs. Ricketts of Pekin Illinois, hurt in a prior auto accident, was released yesterday and returned home. Virgil and Patty Johansen had their tonsils removed by Dr. R L Schroeder. Mrs. Emily Horst was admitted Saturday for medical care and is improving under Dr. Schroeder.

Rev. A J Wurst of Harvey Nebraska died Tuesday afternoon at York Hospital after several weeks illness and recent surgery. He served as pastor of Grace Methodist Church in Osceola. Funeral services are set for 3 PM Friday at the Osceola Methodist Church with Dr. John Hansen district superintendent presiding. Burial will follow in Osceola Cemetery.

Ora Rosella Hamilton born near Shelby Nebraska October 5 1884 died August 5 1934 at Methodist Hospital Omaha after several months illness aged 49 years nine months and 28 days. Corn-Hog Contract Signers May Buy Feeder Pigs
The ruling loosens feeder pig limits for corn hog contract signers from 1934 rules, allowing undated feeder pig purchases through November 30, 1984, with separation or identification of pigs and required purchase details filed with the county allotment committee. It also permits planting wheat or other small grains in 1984 for pasture or hay on contract land, expanding crop acreage limits for roughage while banning harvest as grain and restricting use to prevent contract misuse.
