Dorothy A Niedzwiecki and Martin E Shemek wed in a July 18 ceremony at St Stanislaus Church Duncan. Professed vows during an 8:30 a.m. High Mass with Delores Mastek on organ. Attendants wore nylon marquisette gowns in pink green and yellow. A breakfast reception followed at Duncan Parish Hall with about 60 guests and a 100-guest reception later. The couple will reside in Duncan where he works with irrigation wells. he is a Osceola High School graduate and WWII veteran.

Mrs. Mary Lohnes 74 mother of Oliver J. Schneider of Osceola died last Wednesday in Cedar Creek Nebraska after weeks in an Omaha hospital. Funeral services were held Friday at Cedar Creek with burial there.

Mrs Lucy Peters 95 Dies After Stroke in Ohio Home
Mrs Lucy Humiston Peters 95 of Waterford Ohio died July 21 1950 after a severe stroke. Born December 25 1854 in Washington County Ohio she was child of Hiram Humiston and Margaret Null Humiston. She married Charles F Peters September 16 1876 and lived in Shelby before returning to Ohio in 1891. She and her husband celebrated their 73rd anniversary in 1949. Burial followed July 23 in Beverly Cemetery. She was aunt of Mrs Sam Crouse of this city.
