Wilbur Franklin Jackson 46 died after being run over by dual wheels of a gravel truck near the Platte river south channel while employed by Overland Sand and Gravel Co in Duncan area. He was born in Osceola November 26 1891 married Dassie Lovell May 1912 and left four daughters nine children two granddaughters. funeral in Osceola with burial there.

Fourth Annual Teacher's Banquet Held Friday
Polk County teachers gathered at Osceola Methodist Church on April 22 for the fourth annual banquet. About 150 attendees enjoyed pastel decor, balloons, music by Evelyn Babcock and Maxine Brooks, and comments by Miss Olive McBeth. Associate Justice Bayard H. Paine of the Nebraska Supreme Court reviewed his Mexico trip, entertaining guests with history and humor. the event adjourned late with a positive verdict on the evening.

Ella Nore Helen Norton, daughter of Charles O and Mary Norton, born December 17 1869 in Cambridge Illinois, moved to Nebraska as a child, later married Albert Lind. They farmed near Polk for decades, had six children, and she died April 24 1938 at age 68. Funeral services were held at Swede Plain Church with Rev. E E Pengelly officiating.

Obituary of Julia M. Hotchkiss Kepner
Julia M. Hotchkiss Kepner was born July 4 1858 in Venango County Pennsylvania and died April 19. She moved with family to Ohio and Nebraska before settling near Osceola Nebraska. She married John E Holt in 1886 and later Irvin S Kepner in 1933. She was active in the Osceola Methodist Church and Ladies Aid Society. She survived by her husband three brothers and many relatives. Interment followed at Osceola Churchyard.
