The community club held its bi weekly luncheon at Hotel Rapp. Reports from committees outlined Confidence Day actions and a push to work with the city council on script money to retire rabbit money. Polk county men invited for nationwide forestry work
Two hundred fifty thousand U S. men will work six months in parks and forests with a $30 monthly allowance. In Polk county only nineteen young men will be chosen, meeting April 29 to file applications. Selected recruits head to a concentration camp for two weeks training with job start planned by June and completion by December.
