Lizzie Beatty Dunn born September 7 1855 in County Cavan Ireland married Charles Dunn December 11 1879. They came to America and settled on the Osceola homestead later joining the Presbyterian church. Funeral services were held Tuesday at 2 pm at the Harry Herrman home with Eastern Star assisting at the grave.

The 28th annual Polk County Sunday School Association convention met April 7-8 at the First Baptist Church in Polk. Miss Margaret E. Brown and Mr. H D Kimberly shared programs with lectures on primary problems evangelism and leadership training. Officers elected for next year include President Mrs E E Knerr and Vice President Mr Mark Timm. The county's eighteen Sunday Schools reported an average 41.4 percent and paid the apportionment but did not retain the star. organizers hope for better participation next year.

Debating Team Closes Season at High Prairie
High Prairie High School wrapped up a successful debating season on April 8 by defeating Bradshaw. Judge Dr. Ralph Noyer of the State Teachers College at Kearney officiated, noting the mix of experienced critique. The four debaters were Miss Esther Larson, Mr. Phillip Nyberg, Miss Minnie Stohl, and Miss Harriet Bush with Ms. Stohl or Ms. Bush as alternates. Supt. W.
