Glorious Easter at Mel Lovist Church Draws Large Crowds
Easter services at Mel Lovist Church attracted 350 to 400 attendees with a record Sunday School turnout. The white robed choir of 24 sang de d devotional processional hymns during services and 17 new members joined the fellowship. Cantata Calvary directed by Mrs Ruth Cornish featured soloists Leon Merrick Vivian Petregon Venus Campbell Lydia Shomsher. The pastor and board praised floral decor music and generous offerings for the benevolent fund and called the service a memorable Easter climax.

Shelby Visitors Return Home After Weekend Visit
Mr. and Mrs. D. C. Cole and son Leonard and Mr. and Mrs. Richard Cole of Lincoln visited Shelby friends over the week end. The Coles returned Sunday while Richard remained until Wednesday. The Junior Play Peg O My Heart was staged at the Auditorium last Thursday evening. Osceola High School boasted its dramatic talent as the three act comedy followed Peg OConnell an impulsive Irish girl who wins her English relatives hearts and saves the family honor.
