Osceola commercial students produced strong showings at Crete district events. Irma Hastings and Elsie Gissler placed in advanced typewriting, with top team averages, while novice typewriting trio Ross Anderson Morris Engelhardt and Frances Johnson earned three of five places. The spelling relay also placed fifth. Eligible winners advance to the state meet in Kearney on April 24.

Malek Children Injured After Bicycle Accident Near Osceola
Richard Donald and Elaine Malek children of Mr. and Mrs. George Malek were struck by a car while riding a single bicycle. Richard suffered knee ligament injury with bone fragment. Donald and Elaine broke a leg below the knee. All three treated at Osceola Hospital under Dr. R. L. Schroeder care.
