A PRL wedding occurred at Matamoras Pa at the home of Mr and Mrs Robert Skinner when their daughter Neilisa wed Rev E Loudon. A birthday surprise party honored Miss Robina Whitaker for her thirteenth birthday at 49 Haford street.

Charles Brewer, about 45, of Crystal Run, was found crushed on the Mechanicstown road rail line. Coroner Crist said the death occurred hours before discovery. Members of Wall eill Council attended the Lincoln service at North Comresations Church on Sunday evening. The church featured flags and a large Lincoln portrait. Special music accompanied the program as Arthur M. Payne read Lincoln's Gettysburg Address and Pastor Rev. Themes Liltington spoke on Lincoln's ideals.

Middletown High School hosts Cornwall High School in Linden Hall for the county championship on Friday night. On Washington's Birthday Passaic High School visits Linden Hall for a 2:30 pm tip off. The locals aim to extend a four game win streak as two fast teams clash.
John Bennett a Newburgh printer committed suicide Saturday by cutting his arm in his room at the High View Hotel bleeding to death before aid could arrive. He had recently moved from Berburgh and worked at the News. Bennett had drunk heavily and used a razor, with little known of him in Newburgh. He was said to have once shown interest in the Klondike paper and left behind eleven thousand dollars he squandered in San Francisco. A note read “Mr. Taylor, I hope you will forgive me.”
Large Sunday audiences at Westminster Church heard Dr Wight discuss Lincoln and his moral stance on slavery. He highlighted Lincoln’s refusal to compromise with evil, his faith, and his preparation through adversity, urging young men to meet future challenges with that spirit.

A Sussex man, Floyd Ben net of Busser New Jersey, was blinded in one eye when a chestnut branch blew down in a May wind storm. Doctor Peliet of Hambacrg operated, finding small splinters in the eye and the eye driven back. the wind loosened the chestnut limb which struck him. There is a possibility the eye may be saved.

In Goshen a 27 year old man George Lutes shot himself after an argument with his mother in law who had briefly worked at a Pine Island farm. His brother rode with him to Thrall Hospital in Middletown where he remained in serious condition.

An ensemble of sixteen Philharmonic Society of New York players will join under Rev Robert Brice Clark to present what promises to be a premier musical event of the season. Middletown High School beat Walden Harn Site in Didsbury Hall on Friday evening. The final score showed Middletown leading 19 to 11 at halftime as both teams fought hard and miscues marred the rough contest.
