Jury probes alleged fraud in Tuxedo turnpike road contract

Two state engineers testified in Nyack that Bart Dunn and the Dunbar Construction Company overcharged the state for 30 000 dollars of road work on the Tuxedo Park project. They said only 1135 cubic yards of concrete were used of 2270 paid for, with thinning layers and no proper grout or macadam cleanup, calling the concrete rotten and weak. The defense signaled a broader attack on the highway department and contract conditions as they plan to show heavy traffic during construction damaged the job.
