Death of Hiram Hugunin Passes in Indiana Church Elder
Hiram Hugunin born February 14 1836 in Ondeaga County New York died May 19 1919 at age 83 years 3 months 5 days after a long life of faith and music He moved with family to Medina County Ohio at age two and later to Wabash and Davies counties Indiana He married Josephine Louisa Pownall June 7 1857 and had ten children five of whom predeceased him He leaves a widow four daughters and one son thirty grandchildren nineteen great grandchildren and numerous relatives Services were held at Mt Nebo Church with Rev C H Buchanan and burial in Chandler Cemetery

Airplane Visits Odon delights local crowd with exhibition
Lieuts Force and Rice landed an army plane in Odon on Saturday afternoon as part of Victory Loan outreach. The crowd gathered as the plane touched down near the marked field and watched nose dives tail spins and loops from about 2500 feet. Spectators donated about 35 to the aviators before they headed to Bloomington and later looped back toward Loogootee.

David Wetnight Dies Pioneer Jasonville Merchant
David Wetnight aged 67 died Saturday at his Jasonville home. A pioneer resident and early merchant of the town he leaves a widow two daughters Mrs C Jackson of Terre Haute and Mrs Lee Tarvin of Odon and a son Robert Wetnight of Jasonville. Funeral was at 9 30 a m Monday from the residence with burial in Summit Lawn cemetery south of Brazil.
