W A Clements, a farmer south east of Hof, was kicked on the head by a horse Friday, receiving a severe scalp wound that required many stitches from Dr. Strange of Longcoatee. A Sunday storm damaged crops and windows with large hail. Community notes record visits, lightning damage to lines, and church activities led by Pastor C M Day.
The twenty second annual Epworth League convention of Vincennes district held at Odon Methodist church drew over 225 delegates and visitors. Sessions featured sermons by Rev. Wareing and Rev. Ragle, with officers elected for the coming year and resolutions praising Odon hospitality. Miss Maude Goshorn attended and visited local families.
The Board of trustees of Odon Indiana invites sealed bids for construction of 29 street and 29 alley crossings in the town. Bids due by 4 p.m. July 4th. Plans on file in the town clerk's office. Bidders must file affidavits and enter bonds and contracts. Crossings sold in six blocks. board may reject any bids. Representatives include BK Laughlin attorney and trustees Alex O Dell G V Correll Jerome Demotte.
