Odessa Rebates See Mixed Sales Tax Returns for 1983-84
Sales tax rebates show a $9,000 year over year rise but November rebates fell 13.4 percent from November 1982. City officials note it is premature to call a trend as two of three months posted gains while total rebates trail 1982. For the first three months of fiscal 1983-84, $1.77 million was rebated versus $1.89 million the prior year, as comptroller figures indicate. Muser says the budget strategy includes deferral.
