Man Cleared of Rail Crossing Charge in Milan
Karl Shimansky of Castalia was acquitted by the Milan Erie County Court on the charge of failing to stop at a railroad crossing. His attorney George Howells said the acquittal rested on a technicality, noting he did stop but started again after waiting 20 minutes for a train to pass. Howells plans to review the record and consider a counter-suit against the railroad.

Norwalk police arrested 30 year old Vicente Perez Picazo after a stabbing at the cabin area for workers at the plant. He was jailed on intoxication charges after allegedly stabbing 22 year old Lucio Garcia in the neck. Garcia was admitted to Fisher-Titus Memorial Hospital in fair condition.
