Train Hits Car Kills Norwalk Couple
A Norfolk and Western freight train struck a 1965 Mustang on Laylin Road near Norwalk, killing John Nastodian 24 and Carol Nastodian 23. Their three year old daughter Kimberly Ann remained in critical condition at Elyria Memorial Hospital. The family was returning home from a garden errand when the crash occurred shortly before 7:30 p.m. All three were thrown from the car. the train engineer and conductor were named. Funeral plans were set for Monday at First Methodist Church.
