The Ohio League of Women Voters announced opposition to three of four constitutional amendments proposed by Gov. Rhodes. It said the measures would quadruple Ohio's debt. Rhodes criticized the league's stance. The league opposed the industry tax abatement, the $1.75 billion transportation bond issue, and the $2.75 billion capital improvements bond issue.

Little Danger Of Encephalitis In Norwalk Says Mayor
Mayor Wayne Goodsite announced low risk of sleep sickness from mosquitoes in Norwalk after consulting Huron County Health Department.
