Britain's Prince Charles watched as NASA space shuttle Enterprise executed a bumpy but successful final free-fall touchdown at Edwards Air Force Base. A Clifton Hayes family of four and two dogs escaped a mobile home fire that destroyed their residence around 6 45 p m Wednesday. The fire began in a closet with a propane water heater. Hayes shut off the gas, saving a potential tragedy. The home was a total loss with limited salvaged clothing. the family will stay with relatives while seeking a new home.
