Death Accidental Says Boy At Courter Tech High

An 18 year old Courter Technical High School student, charged with first degree manslaughter in the January killing of 16 year old Stephen Howarth, was placed on five years probation and ordered to pay funeral expenses. Howarth was struck by a baseball bat from a passing car as he waited for a bus near the school.

Police arrest nearly 300 antiwar demonstrators near White House

Police hauled away almost 300 antiwar protesters one block from the White House after they flopped in a rush hour street to block an eviction notice delivery on President Nixon. Leaders Rennie Davis David Dellinger John Fraines and Fr. James Groppi were among those arrested as the largely peaceful protest drew hundreds rather than thousands.

Twenty three wedding guests filed a suit in Pittsburgh seeking more than 230000 dollars after falling ill from potato salad served at the August 1970 reception for Mr and Mrs Regis H Turvey in Whitehall. Athens Bank Burns In Downtown Fire

The Athens National Bank was destroyed by a basement fire in a two story building. Firefighters fought the flames for five hours with windows and roof damaged but vault safe. Loss includes check processing machines and records though duplicates may exist in Cincinnati.

Dentists Urge Dental Care in Health Plan

Dr. Leroy N. Larson of the American Dental Association urged Congress to add dental care provisions to any health insurance program. He told the House Ways and Means Committee that the administration plan lacks dental coverage, opposing a plan that would require employers to provide medical coverage and provide federal payments for the poor.

Burglary Hits Suhrs on Ohio 18 Near Norwalk

Items valued at more than 2600 were taken from Curtis A. Suhr’s business on Ohio 18 near the Norwalk city limits. The Huron County Sheriff’s Department said the break-in was discovered at 8 this morning after entry by a front window. Stolen goods include a Massey Ferguson snowmobile and riding tractor, a Toro Snow Pup, several Poulon and Hoffce chain saws, and $100 from the cash register.
