Polio first case in Ashland County since 1960
Ashland County health officials report three year old Paul Troyer, son of Amish farmers, hospitalized in Akron with polio the first local case since 1960 and the parents say he did not receive polio vaccine. In Vietnam news Hanoi radio ignored a U S de escalation offer and demanded an unconditional halt to bombing North Vietnam. In Vandalia ten people were arrested with over six hundred pounds of marijuana seized near the city as officers and deputies acted on the operation.
