Bumper Beat An 89 year old Monroeville man
An 89 year old Monroeville man was cited for improper lane change after a collision on U.S. 20 near Halfway Road. Roman A. Meyer 89 of Halfway Road northbound turned onto U.S. 20 to go west then into the left lane and into the right lane striking a tractor trailer driven by Edward Castleberry 47 of Marine City Michigan. No injuries. Additional incident involved a Ontario Canada truck driver 31 who swerved onto a private lawn on U.S. 250 near New London after a left lane pass caused a collision with Carl Scholler 61 of Mansfield. Scholler was cited for improper passing. No injuries. Minor notes on jail standards and inspections follow.
