Deshong notes Holiday Lakes near Ohio could attract 1200 families and as many boats. The project, an early and sizable land development with a 35 foot dam, could store hundreds of millions of gallons of water and reshape local scenery, though traffic may grow as it develops.
Monroeville council approved emergency ordinances and a drainage easement resolution for 9.5 acres bought by the village and reserved soybean harvest. Five townships balked at a mutual fire protection change and will await a 1965 contract. A late charge issue for Faulhaber Co. was sent to the solicitor.
