A stubborn plastics blaze completely destroyed the National Plastics and Chemicals Corp Lincoln St plant with an estimated one million dollars in losses. Black smoke carrying chlorinated gas was seen in Norwalk Sandusky and Fremont as nine fire departments fought the 35 000 square foot facility after 1 p m. Fire crews and strong winds limited spread and kept the fire from reaching nearby areas.

Teamsters Threaten Nationwide Picket Over Fanny Farmer Strike
Teamsters officials indicated possible nationwide pickets of Fanny Farmer Candy Co. plants after a local plant strike began at 9 p.m. last night. Pickets set up lines and halted incoming traffic.
