Youth Fined in Fatal Accident Case
An eighteen year old Fitchville youth received a 250 dollar fine and court costs for contributing to the delinquency of minors in Ashland County Juvenile Court. The case related to an accident that killed Linda Lou Wharton of Ashland. 12 people were charged by the Ohio Highway Patrol. The youth, a Naval Reserve member, changed plea from not guilty to guilty and may begin Navy duty after the proceeding.

Poland youth held on arson suspicion in Poland
A 15 year old, junior fireman with the Poland Two Volunteer Fire Department, was detained by Mahoning County juvenile authorities on arson suspicions. He admitted setting fires May 7 at a barn May 20 at a summer home and June 22 at another house in Poland and helped extinguish them. Damage totaled about 25000 dollars.

Norwalk Considers Two Story Addition To City Office Building
The city unveiled tentative plans Tuesday night for a front two story addition to the Norwalk City Office Building built in the late 1940s. Estimated cost ranges from 50 000 to 65 000 with 15 000 more to finish a council chamber on the second floor. The present chamber sits above the fire hall next door. Mayor Harold Finch said costs would be shared by all departments in the building and authorized Thurman J. Peabody to prepare drawings. The addition would provide space for the mayor service director auditor collections planning and zoning human relations and move the mayor's court from police headquarters. The plan calls for a 36 by 66 feet extension abutting the front sidewalk. Further details pending council action.

Thirty area residents from Huron County toured the Penta County Vocational School near Toledo on a Monday morning visit. The 30 visitors watched students at work, impressed by their focus and productivity, as the school has hosted 600 tours in the last year since opening. The tour was organized by the Committee to Promote the EHOVE Vocational School, which seeks a millage to fund a new school in the Milan district similar to Penta County.
