Ohio sales tax revenue climbs 24 percent in two weeks

Statewide collections for the two week period ending November 23 rose over 24 percent from a year earlier, totaling about 31.5 million. Fiscal year to date receipts near 255 million, up about 38 percent from last year, with eight counties showing declines.

Santa Arrives In Norwalk For Christmas Festivities

A large Norwalk crowd welcomed Santa as he rode into town Friday night in a pony cart. Majorettes in elf hats and the high school band led the parade while junior high players performed. Santa will greet children 7 to 9 p.m. through Dec. 23 at his house on W. Main and S. Hester. Stores stay open late through weeknights and Saturday.
