Weekend Through Wednesday Weather Outlook Shows Mild Trend

Temperatures Saturday through Wednesday run above normal with highs 45 to 50 and lows 30 to 35. The pattern warms Saturday into early next week then turns colder by Wednesday. Snow flurries are possible in the northeast Saturday and a rain period Tuesday into Wednesday could yield about two to four tenths of an inch liquid.

Norwalk Crash Splits Car On Route 250 Hurts Five

Reather Ward, 44, of 69 Parsons Street, was in fair condition at Sandusky Memorial Hospital with a broken nose and possible shoulder fracture after his car split in two on Route 250 near Norwalk Bargain Center. Five others from Zion Illinois were injured and treated at Fisher-Titus and Providence Hospitals. Ward cited for failure to yield.

Three Hurt In Turnpike Crash Near Norwalk Area

Three people were injured on the Ohio Turnpike nineteen miles west of the Norwalk interchange. Paul Challgren, 20, of Tonawanda New York, struck the rear of Owen Ostrander, 42, of Troy Michigan as cars waited for a minor accident to clear. Parade Marks Santa's Arrival Here Tonight

Romania Allows Soviet Military Maneuvers Next Year

Under heavy Soviet pressure Romania agreed to permit Russian forces to hold maneuvers on its soil next year. Diplomatic sources say Marshal Ivan Yakubovsky, Warsaw Pact commander, arranged the accord in Bucharest after Kremlin pressure. President Nicolae Ceausescu had resisted but yielded to Moscow.
