Willard police cruiser damaged in Attica chase
A Willard police cruiser was damaged during a high speed chase on U S 224 at the Ohio 4 intersection in Attica. Patrolman Joseph Daniel assisted Republic police pursuing Mark Gargac for a stop sign violation. Gargac struck the cruiser, front end damaged, and is jailed in Seneca County on reckless operation eluding and failure to yield.

Norwalk Youth Charged In Break-In at Outdoorsman
An 18 year old Norwalk man Gregory M. Mathers is charged with breaking into the Outdoorsman at 19 S Linwood early Sunday. He remains in Huron County Jail awaiting charges after a burglar alarm alerted police. Prosecutor Richard Hauser notes a March probation sentence for a November 1978 Norwalk Waste Material Co. break-in. nothing was taken.
