Ohio ODNR director decries eight million dollar budget cut
William B. Nye, head of the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, denounces an eight million dollar reduction by the Ohio House Finance Committee as crippling to pollution control. The cut eliminates funding for new programs and staff, threatens enforcement, and endangers air and water quality oversight for Ohioans. Nye warns it undermines park ranger protection and state facilities valued by residents.
