Recluse spider house identified in Monroe County brief
The home at 24 N Hamilton St in Monroe was identified as the one that housed 21 recluse spiders and was owned by Clarence Lasch. The Clarence Seville family occupied the house. they may have moved or temporarily left during extermination. The Huron County Health Department has a spider specimen for comparison. The Huron County Draft Board moves May 27 to Room 1 at Citizens National Bank, leaving the 29 31 East Main Street site after 15 years.

Guard Killed While Seizing Escaped Inmates at Fairfield School
In Lancaster Ohio a 22 year old guard Charles Marion was shot in the back and killed while detaining two escapers from the Fairfield School for Boys Stephen Patrick 15 and Roger Craft 16 both of Marion were captured within hours Craft kept a .22 rifle and shells. The institution houses 1015 inmates with 453 guards who are not armed. The escape followed hiding in a classroom and breaking into a summer cottage to take the rifle and shells. Police and deputies along with a patrol helicopter conducted the manhunt in Central Ohio.
