Lefty Grove Dies At 75 A Norwalk Icon
Lefty Grove famed as baseball’s greatest lefty and a 75 year old Norwalk resident died of a heart attack. He lived at 52 Parsons St for 14 years and was known for avoiding limelight yet sharing stories of baseball. Survivors include his daughter in law Mrs. Edward Monnett and granddaughter Mrs. Lynn Harning along with siblings and nieces. Funeral arrangements were set through Kubach-Smith and Eichhorn funeral homes with services in Lonaconing and Frostburg Memorial Cemetery.
