Reservoir Control Board Declines Involvement In July Cycle Meet

NEW LONDON The Reservoir Control Board voted not to involve itself with a Lorain based motorcycle club swap meet at the recreation park in mid July. The panel learned park officials had signed a contract for use of park space, amid concerns over potential large crowds, beer sales, and live music at the event. The board, reaffirming park rules banning bikes on reservoir property and alcohol, will still oversee summer staffing and reservations for the 120 day 1979 camping season with lifeguards and a food concession.
