Doctor wins welfare fee case in Norwalk court
Dr. Camardese won a $100 judgment against Doris Moritz in Norwalk Municipal Court after the doctor said welfare regulations force him to sign a provider agreement to treat welfare patients. Judge Donald Derby found no such agreement existed as Camardese discussed the matter with Welfare Director Grant Walls. The case may spark further appeals, though the judge called it unlikely to be a landmark ruling.

David Stieber of Norwalk was sent to the Ohio State Reformatory at Mansfield to serve a two to five year sentence for stealing a firearm. A forgery charge was dropped after his guilty plea. Deane A. Davis of Willard received three years probation and 30 days in jail after pleading guilty to marijuana possession for sale. other charges were dropped.
