Family Costs Rise in 1975 Budget Revisions

Washington UPI reports the Labor Department's Bureau of Labor Statistics revised the 1975 budget figures for a four member family. The midrange annual salary needed to meet bills rose to 15318 dollars reflecting a 6.9 percent increase, about 200 dollars less than last month's estimate. The low budget stood at 9588 dollars and the high budget at 22294 dollars, up 7.3 percent from 1975.

Barnaby to Lead Norwalk Poppy Festival Parade

Norwalk will honor Linn Sheldon known as Barnaby as grand marshal of the Poppy Festival Parade on May 30. The parade proceeds through Main Street and Sheldon will hand out trophies at the end. He is a Norwalk native and hosts The Barnaby Show on Channel 43 and previously worked at WEWS-TV and WKYC-TV creating the Barnaby character.
