Monroeville Postmaster Retires After 22 Years
Monroeville postmaster D L Fry retires after 22 years leading a one man operation. The 63 year old veteran began in 1954 when the office was a grocery store and now oversees a small staff and budget cuts. Fry plans a vacation then possible Florida move with golf ahead. An officer in charge will fill the postmaster role until a permanent appointment.

Born Wickliffe Ohio she lived in Norwalk Milan area since 1944 formerly East Cleveland where she worked 13 years as a University Hospitals telephone operator. She belonged to Edison Memorial United Methodist Church. Survived by husband Edgar M one sister Mrs Minnie Cawl California and many nieces and nephews she was predeceased by three sisters. Friends may call Rawle Funeral Home Milan 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday with services 3 p.m. Thursday Rev Otis Bell officiating Milan Cemetery interment.
