Follies-1976 Celebrates America at Towne and Country Arts Center
Towne and Country Regional Arts Center marks its tenth anniversary with a musical collage of American entertainment from the Roaring Twenties to the Bicentennial. The 20 performer cast, led by Marilyn Hawkins and Gary Schrickel, blends bright costumes and film clips with a mixed chorus. The second act shifts to a reverent patriotic tribute focusing on religious freedom and national pride, featuring strong turns by Jane Chapman and Dee Smith. The show runs tonight and for the next two weekends, with some numbers praised and others weaker in blend and choreography.
